Few minutes before the beginning of the Arabic Content National Conference, the Syrian Computer Society (SCS)'s Head Dr.Rakan Razouq said in an interview that the conference will shed light on the problem of Arabic digital content and obstacles that face its development to be fit for the Arabic language speakers and their interests.
"The conference will also concentrate on features of the next step to develop the Arabic content to serve Arabic language speakers and to provide them with information they need", Dr.Razouq added.
"Well-qualified experts from the Arab world are coming to dwell upon the digital content question", the SCS Head said.
As for the SCS role in the conference, Dr.Razouq said the SCS is taking part in the conference as an organizer in cooperation with Ministries of Information and Communications and Technology.
"We partake in all conference's committees including scientific committee that chose the conference's topics and experts invited to participate in it", Dr.Razouq added.
He cited the SCS participation in several initiatives in the domain of digital content including eSyria website, al-Kendi Prize, competition of "Idea might change the world" launched by the incubator, and IT terms dictionary,
In 2008, the Arab League adopted the website set up by the SCS for the joint ministerial meeting of Information and Communications Council, and now Dr.Razouq expects a better future for the ACNC website.
